“Four years ago, I was just a guy who had a crush on a girl, who had a boyfriend. And I had to do the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to do, which was just to… wait…And, a lot of people told me I was crazy to wait this long for a date with a girl I work with but I think, even then I knew that… I was waiting for my wife.” -Jim Halpert

An old Italian gentleman lived alone in New Jersey . He wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, as the ground was hard. His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:
Dear Vincent, I am feeling pretty sad because it looks like I won’t be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I’m just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days. Love, Papa
A few days later he received a letter from his son.
Dear Papa, Don’t dig up that garden. That’ s where the bodies are buried. Love, Vinnie
At 4 a.m. The next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left. That same day the old man received another letter from his son.
Dear Papa, Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That’s the best I could do under the circumstances. Love you, Vinnie

This is my papa and mama <3 They’ve been together for 66 years. It’s a funny story how they’ve met. Back then they used to announce weddings on the radio and my papa went even though he wasn’t invited. He met my mama there and when he saw her he said “I’m going to marry her.” They got married eventually and had six children together. My papa is the Founder and Pastor of The Way of Salvation church in Kalihi and my mama stood by his side wherever he went. Either on trips to the Philippines or the Mainland my mama went with him. But, about 4 months ago my papa passed away. He was a 100 years old and was just 18 days away from turning 101. It was hard for our family especially for my mama because 66 years was a long time. When we got to spend our last hours with papa I heard my mama crying and saying to him, “I enjoyed these years with you.” She let my papa go as she told him, “If you’re staying back because of me, don’t. I’ll be fine.” My mama and papa’s relationship is a good example because they loved each other and took care of each other everyday. I hope I’ll find love like that. <3
